Vanlife Diaries

Vanlife Diaries began with a van, initially a concept by Jared and Sam to fit out vans into campers at an affordable price for fellow travelers. Travelers don't have a lot of money and are usually happy just to blaze their own trail.

The friends orchestrated two vanlife gatherings, fitted out several vans, and expanded the Vanlife Diaries network of facilitators to five countries and four continents. This included hiring Kathleen to come on board as our American representative and part of our vanlife crew.

Vanlife Diaries is an inspiring look into the world of the rolling homes built and occupied by a new generation of modern gypsies: a range of professionals and creatives who have ditched conventional houses for the freedom of the road and the beauty of the outdoors.

The Van Project, a social media community and blog offering photography, travel advice, stories & tips for everyone from weekend-warriors to full-time nomads. They love backpacking and rock climbing, and are currently living/working on the road in their 1964 Clark Cortez motorhome.

Vanlife Diaries is excited to announce the return of our annual Vanlife Gathering this October 3rd-5th 2025. This event will be held at Natural Bridge on an amazing property an hour inland from Byron and the Gold Coast.
